Christmas in Llandudno

Merry Christmas Llandudno

As we move into December and head towards the New Year, Christmas in Llandudno and North Wales is full of events, activities and things to do.

There are Santa’s grottos all over the region and he will be taking part in various parades, including Llandudno’s, which is on December 2nd (Saturday). From 2.40pm the Town Hall has entertainment outside, with the parade starting at 4pm, from the station.

Conwy’s parade is led by the town’s Jester and features armoured knights, carrying torches around the town to the square. Most shops and eateries will be open, along with other seasonal attractions.

Conwy is also hosting a “Winter Wonderland”, from the 12th to the 17th of December. There will be a variety of stalls selling crafts, gifts and food, as well as a bar and live music. For the first time, there will also be an ice rink, open 3pm – 10pm during the week and 12pm on Saturday and Sunday.

It wouldn’t be the festive period without a panto, this year Venue Cymru gives us Peter Pan (9th – 31st December). Over in Colwyn Bay, at Theatr Colwyn, from the 23rd of December to 6th of January you can enjoy Beauty And The Beast.

If you’re feeling sporty, or just want to support a great cause, December the 9th is the Llandudno Santa fun run. This is a family event, pets are welcome too. The 5k route runs along the North Shore, though you can walk if you want, in aid of St David’s Hospice. Registration is by the Pier from 11am, Santa suit included! ( £16 adults, children £12. )

Don’t forget Llandudno’s Boxing Day Sea Dip, which is being organised by the Lions Club of Llandudno. Registration is from 11am, in the St George Hotel.

As you might expect, the whole region will be holding their own events and parades. So, if you want to venture out, there is bound to be something that puts you in the festive spirit.

To help you enjoy Christmas in Llandudno, the LC Drink And Dine will be open throughout the festive period, with a special menu until close on Christmas Eve. For parties of more than 5, we will be taking bookings, subject to a £5 deposit.
